I'm sad to say that after two years, and nearly 400 shows, my wonderful co-host, Amber MacArthur, is leaving Call for Help. -snif-

We'll tape one more round of shows this week (enough to get us through September) then she's off to CityTV where she'll be a tech reporter and host of her own show.

Amber plans to keep producing Command-N, her video podcast, and Inside the Net, the podcast we do together for TWiT.tv and we're going to continue to work on the podcasting book together, but we'll really miss her on Call for Help. Her insight into the web has added tremendously to the show, and her unfailing energy and enthusiasm for tech inspires us all. I don't know how we can ever replace that. In so many ways she has been our Muse.

On the other hand, this is a unique opportunity for her, and we're all terrifically proud of her success. And CityTV posts almost everything online, so you'll be able to see plenty of Amber at CityTV.com

I remember telling management when we hired her that it was only a matter of time before some big network snatched her up. This is just the beginning of a wonderful career for a very smart and talented person. Bye Amber... and good luck in the big city!

She will be truley missed, but I look forward to seeing her on CityTV. A sheek geek as comic as Amber is hard to come by.

I will definitely miss Amber. I'm still glad I get to see her though one last time in studio this week.

Wow this is really big news for Amber. Congratulations in her in new gig over at CityTV.com. At least I can still see and hear Amber on Command-N, Inside the Net, Podcasts. And chances of Getting back Andy Walker or Hiring Jenn Cutter from Open Alpha tv too be the new co-host of Call For Help??.

I will sincerely genuinely, miss Amber Mac's great smill from the opening of call for help. She will be truly be miss from CFH 2.0 fan base from around the world. This is definitely a sad day for Geek Television. ITs right up there when Kate Botello Left TSS to co-host Extended Play with Adam Sessler.

I only know Amber through "Inside the Net" and "MacBreak", but let me say that she makes us geekgirls proud! Way to go Amber - I'll post my best wishes on her blog. And, way to go Leo - thanks for finding her and helping her get to the top.

It seems you have to trip over a dozen tech guys to find the tech girl - but we are out there...

It is wonderful that Amber is starting a new chapter in her life. I will look forward to seeing her on CityTV.com. I do not watch it now, but I will start. Leo has had some excellent co-hosts through the years and I am sure he will continue the trend.

This is quite a surprise. I guess I'll be able to watch her in the US with Command.N. I really hope that this means Andy will be coming back.

Amber is wonderful and like Leo said it was only a matter of time, before she moved into bigger shoes.

It's kind of scary to see things we consider to be constants in our lives change, but I agree that this is a great opportunity for Amber. Good Luck!

Amber and Leo made a great team and complemented each other well. I enjoyed her tech as well as her giggles. She'll be sorely missed but gladly welcomed at her new position. Congrats to Amber!

This may be good for both CFH and Amber. Amber can go on to bigger things and perhaps CFH may get a needed makeover. Perhaps a new set and titles? One can only hope.

I hate to see such a dynamic duo break up. I'll miss the synergy and smiles that glowed like moonbeams on Call For Help. I certainly hope that one day Call For Help and Leo can have a national show back in the states. Thanks for the memories Amber and to Leo let's hope there is more fun (and Call for Help) to come.

Sad to see Amber go, but we know she'll still be around with IN and CommandN :).

She will definately be missed on G4, but I suspect we will only see/hear more of her in the future. I'll still watch Call For Help whenever I can, and of course listen to my favorite podcast - Inside The Net.

Glad to see she is moving up in the world of Canadian Broadcasting (at least it sounds like it, I'm in the US and don't watch much TV in Canada).

I hope her schedule lets her continue the Command-N and Inside the Net as I enjoy watching/listening to each of them every week.

I wondered why you were workin Cali Lewis when called in on the radio show the other day :) I didnt get to watch Amber on CFH much but I'm glad she'll still be doing the podcasts.

How could you people think this post is good? This is horrible. I just got Pay TV to watch Call For Help, and now, without Amber, my life will be a complete lifeless lump, "half-eaten by alsatians".

Oh, this is sad. I enjoyed Amber. Such as sweet gal. Well, at least she'll still be on your podcasting shows, which means she won't be gone forever. And I hope to hear more 'casts in the coming weeks from you Leo.

Leo... I too miss Amber on Call For Help. You said it best when you said, "Wonderful co-host" I am one of the lucky ones though who gets to see her on "Homepage." her new show.
