Farewell Toronto

Comments

Leo I shall certainly miss seeing you in Toronto every month. It has been a great honour and pleasure working with you. I hope to work with you again in the future.
I'm glad to hear the show will continue!
Oh, and... nice hat!
Hey, Goodbye for some, Hello for others! Now that you're coming over to my neck of the woods, we should have a Vancouver meet-up!

Hopefully you'll just miss the insane weather we're having out here... Vancouver is supposed to get rain, not snow :(
Sorry I never got a chance to meet up with you Leo at one of the meetups since it was in my backyard, but I'm glad the show continues, and happy to have provided the theme for net@nite. Hope you enjoy Vanvcouver!

It looks as cold there, as it is here in IL . Two of my best friends live in Canada and I don't know how they do it.

Stay warm

We are gonna miss you Leo! You definitly have to come back for a visit. I mean, how else is No Regrets gonna stay in business?
Looks cold!
I've learned so much from you, Amber, Andy, MikeLaz, Sean, and all the rest of Call For Help. And I've always loved that you guys did the show from Toronto (as opposed to elsewhere). I know that Toronto will always mean a lot to you, Leo. The same way that your coming here has meant a great deal to me, and my knowledge of computers. This isn't goodbye, and I envy Vancouver having your visits from now on. Nevertheless, I'll be watching/listening/downloading, as long as you are making useful, entertaining and fun content (and maybe even if you aren't TEEHEE). Take care Leo, and keep you eyes on the skies.
Toronto looks beautiful.

Maybe I'll get a chance to see you live now! WOOHOO! Whatever you do, where ever you go, I'll follow your show, if it's possibe. You're amazing.
Thanks for the many years of education. (Ok...let's just say a while)
Looks pretty chilly over there....best of luck on the new revamped show...I was on the old CFH on TechTV when I sent in a webcam promo...I wish I could have recorded it...I was on several times...I said..."Your watching the man himself, Leo Laporte on Call for Help"...I actually had said just before "on call for help".."as he answers your computer questions...right here..on Call For Help"...guess that was a few seconds too long...aaah memories...
sorry to see the show come to an end, does anybody know if the new show will be aired on G4

Hi, Leo,

First, why did SixApart just try to phish my roommate's phone number from my computer? TrendMicro Internet Security 2007 alerts me to such things. I know what a flirt you are, Leo!

Second, I hope your move to Vancouver means that maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to see you again on TV here in Los Angeles. I really have missed your shows, Leo.

I haven't been to Toronto in more than 20 years. I visited it quite often between 1983 and 1985 when I had a PR client there. What a beautiful place!

Chris Perillo is sending out a daily list of links. I get a kick out of these.

Take care, Leo!

Your buddy,

George Spink

Frequen Flyer Miles are your friend! :) You should use those to go back to Toronto every now and then.

Congratulations on the show moving forward though! I'm glad to see at least one of your shows from when TechTV existed still running strong and changing.

re "Call for Help: The Burning Crusade "

Hmm so whats your /flirt or /silly audible then :-)

my fave at the moment in BC is

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?... Good. Bring ample supply of butter and Goblin Jumper Cables."

Well, Leo, dry those tears and have a look at this YouTube video I just came across titled "How to get a guy in Silicon Valley":

From listening to TWIT I know of your deep love for the Macintosh - particularly the black laptops - which is why I instantly thought of you when I figured out what the girls were doing. That is, after I recovered from rolling on the floor laughing.

They also have a blog, and apparently are shooting a second video at the moment:

Hey Leo,

I'm a huge fan since ZDTV Screensavers way back and was born again when you rejuvinated Call for Help in Canada. Enjoy the left coast of our fair country and I look forward to your musings in glorious HD.

Leo!

I'm glad you're leaving Toronto and 'relocating' to Vancouver, 'cause that's where I live! You won't normally need the toque out here!

I'm involved with the Vancouver Mac User Group (we're relaunching the web site soon so I won't give you the link here as it's ugly right now), if you have any free time when you're in town, drop me a line and come along to a meeting, we're always looking for guests - especially Mac nuts like you!

Leo my heart is saddened by your departure from the great city of Toronto (being born there I am biased) There are some new adventures for you I am sure so Good luck dear friend.
Why don't you just make Call For Help an online show? I'd pay to watch it online. I always thought that call for help was your best show. I was also wondering what it would take to just get a more organized online tech tv station where you at pat, john, kevin could all host your shows.
I feel sorry for your friends and fans in Toronto...but I'm also glad that the production is going to move to Vancouver, which means hopefully we will have higher chance to meet you here! I will buy you a coffee or anything ;-)
